The Problem
Innumerable innovations on the part of the local manufacturer have made it possible to convert the engine output into the maximum amount of thrust in a more efficient manner. The significantly-improved control system for the driven wheels produces a situation in which significantly higher forces must be transferred to the contact-surface between the wheel and the track.
Unlike with road traffic, the track is softer than the wheel tire. Therefore, it (the track) gets warped. This deformation leads to a

The Solution
When it comes to the longitudinal and transverse profiles, errors can be rectified by reworking the track-profile on a regular basis. At the same time, the option that features erosion intensities of up to 1.5 mm for the running surface and up to 5.0 mm for the gauge line (to be eroded in a single passage) effectively eliminates the head checks. The method of combining erosion caused by a milling machine with erosion caused by a grinding process facilitates perfect track correction.
How it’s done
The SF 06 features 2 milling units that are placed in a row. These are followed by a grinding unit and an intermediary station. The eroded metal filings and the grinding dust are sucked into the machine’s bunker. The machine features an integrated measurement technique that measures the longitudinal and transverse profiles, provides real-time information regarding the progress of the processing and records the said progress. The machine features system autonomy and can function for a minimum period of 2 days without being refueled or subjected to a process that removes splinters.
